Varnell Letter

Good morning Richard;
This is one tremendous book, a real contribution to the learning of young pastors and any pastor who serves a church of less than 200. I appreciate the sound Biblical basis you provided and the business concepts gained from your long years of business expertise. Your appendix section is one of those very practical sections that compliments the body of the book.

Richard, I’m hoping you have plans to publish this. I do have a distant connection with Harvest House out of Eugene, OR if interested.

There a couple of clean-up spelling issues that you have probably found, but if not, this is what I found.

Page 6, paragraph 2 “want” should be “ what”
Page 13, paragraph 4 “created” should be “create”
Page 60, paragraph 3 “wo” should be “who”

Here is my statement for you to do with as you please . . .

“When I landed in the jungle of my first pastorate, I needed this book. It is a carefully designed blueprint for pastors and churches of less than 200. Richard Varnell, an ordained pastor, provides the sound Biblical basis for church growth. As a CPA he articulates practical business concepts that help a church measure it’s goals and be accountable. The book is destined to be a standard for small churches.”
